Honest limitations
VL does not suppress infrared. The manufacturer notes that when photographed with cameras with wide wavelength sensitivity, VL may appear as black with a reddish tint. If your application involves the NIR range, LiDAR or sensor development, choose IR Flock Sheet.
The flocking process can generate fine fibre dust. Take care where cleanliness is the highest priority or where the material goes inside precision equipment. Creases can be treated with steam without touching the surface with an iron.

Frequently asked questions
How does VL differ from KIWAMI?
VL is more affordable and physically more durable (nylon pile), and it can be touched. KIWAMI is blacker (99.905 %). For most applications VL is excellent; for maximum blackness choose KIWAMI.
Is an adhesive-backed version available?
Yes. Every size is available both with and without glue. The adhesive version sticks directly to a clean, smooth surface.
Is VL suitable for infrared applications?
No. VL has no infrared reflection suppressing properties. For IR, LiDAR and NIR use choose IR Flock Sheet.
Is any part of the roll unusable?
There is an area of about 20 mm at the corners that is non-flocked and has punch holes. This area is excluded from the effective 950 mm width – take it into account when planning cuts.
