In Finland, the engine gas used as fuel for forklifts and work machines is supplied in 11 kg steel cylinders with an internal riser tube. The valve feeds liquid propane so that the forklift's vaporiser gets a steady flow even in freezing weather and under heavy load.

Can I use the same cylinder for a forklift and a gas heater?
No. A liquid-offtake cylinder is intended for engines. Gas burners and heaters use a vapour-offtake cylinder.
Does the valve have a non-return function?
Yes, the cylinder has an RPV non-return valve to prevent liquid leaks.
Do I need a contract or a deposit?
No. You can either buy your own cylinder (shell charge) or exchange your empty cylinder for a full one – in that case add this refill to your cart.
