Imagine a surface that absorbs 99.9% of visible light. KIWAMI fabric is developed using vertically aligned rayon piles and a patented black pigment – the result is a three-dimensional structure that absorbs all stray light. The deepest black for art installations, home theaters and photography studios.

Below is a Visible Light (VL) measurement table that compares the ability of different Musou Black materials to reflect light holistically when light strikes the material being tested at an 8 degree angle. The value in the table indicates how well a material can reflect light from different directions, giving an idea of its visual reflectivity or mattness. This information is particularly important when selecting materials that require specific light reflection properties, for example in optical applications or for aesthetic evaluation of the material.
